Scheduled Courses will be conducted subject to sufficient number of trainees being available.
Courses comprising any one or combination of a number of modules given in this website can be conducted on receipt of requisition from user-organisations provided at least six trainees are sponsored for a particular course.
If the date of commencement of a course falls on a holiday, it will start on the next working day.
Eligibility Criteria for admission to different courses are relaxable at the discretion of the Addl. surveyor General, IIS&M.
Nomination / Application for admission to a course should reach the Addl Surveyor General, IIS&M, normally 60 days before the scheduled date of commencement of the Course. Trainees are advised to report in the Institute only on receiving confirmation about the allotment of seat.
Tuition Fee with service tax as applicable should be paid in advance by Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Regional Pay & Accounts Officer, Survey of India on Hyderabad Branch of any nationalised bank, preferably Union Bank of India. If the tuition fee is not paid in advance or simultaneously with joining, the trainee will not be admitted.
Requirement of Hostel Accommodation need to be intimated to the Additional Surveyor General, IIS&M (Attention : Hostel Warden), sufficiently in advance through separate letter. Boarding and Lodging expenses for a trainee has to be paid separately in addition to the tuition fee.
Non-departmental / private candidates also can be admitted to a course subject to availability of seats, fulfilling the eligibility criteria and payment of tuition fee as fixed from time to time. Interested candidates should apply on the prescribed proforma given in this book.
Each trainee reporting for Courses involving field training outside the IIS&M Campus should arrange for himself camp cots and beddings for use in the Camp which is normally established about 30 km away from Hyderabad. Similarly, the service of a Cook will be available to the trainees, in the Camp; but necessary utensils, cookwares and other provisions are to be arranged by the trainees themselves.
A foreign national seeking admission to a course in IIS&M needs to be sponsored by the Government of his country or has to route his application through the Indian mission in his country.
