On the occasion of Constitution Day 2021, an essay competition was organized at the SOI offices in Chandigarh. Col. Amardeep Singh, Additional Surveyor General distributed the prize to the winner/participants of the essay competition.
The Constitution Day was celebrated in Norther Zone, PBHR&CH GDC & HPGDC at Chandigarh on 26th November 2021. The preamble of the Constitution was read by the Addl Surveyor General Col. Amardeep Singh along with all the Senior officers and staff.

All the Officers and staff other offices of SOI also read the preamble of the constitution in their respective offices. Officers and staff also read the preamble through online portal of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

Geodetic & Research Branch Survey of India Dehradun ( UK) is in the process of convening a Potential User Meet to create awareness about CORS Network and services being offered amongst the Government organisations and PSUs with an aim to make aware the potential users about CORS infrastructure and its potential applications. Some of the participants are fi om the departments like IMD, Indian Railways, Power Grid Corporation, MoRTH, DFCC, NHSRCL , NHAI, Defence including Defence Estates, NHO, BEL, EClL, NGRI, IIG, NIOT, INCOIS, Department of Earth Sciences, NIO and other research organizations working in domain of Geodesy, Geospatial Technology or Earth Sciences.
Geospatial Technology State Seminars-2021" held on 22nd October 2021 at Courtyard by Marriot, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Shri R.K Nigam, Addl SG, Central Zone, Jabalpur, Shri Sandeep Shrivastava, Director, MPGDC,Jabalpur and Shri Dhiraj Shah,DSG,Central Zone, Jabalpur had participated in the seminar. The program opening address was delivered by Shri R.K Nigam, Addl 5G. He also gave a brief description about Survey of India and its ongoing projects. In the user Technical session 1, Shri Sandeep Shrivastava, Director, MP GDC briefed about Large Scale Mapping of Revenue Villages, CORS, Svamitva in Madhya Pradesh by Survey of India and Vertical Datum established by Survey of India. In the Survey of India exhibition stall, details of Survey of India's Key projects like SVAMITVA Scheme, NH P project, Namami Gange project and Establishment of Nationwide CORS network were displayed in banners.

On 14-10-2021, Shri Naveen Tomar, the Surveyor General of India inaugurated the NMCG Production Centre developed in Geodetic & Research Branch, SOI, Dehradun. On this occasion Brig B. Sareen Chander, Additional Surveyor General, SGO, Shri, S. B. Sharma, Director, DMC, Shri Inam Amil, DSG Specialized Zone, Col Arvind Jadli Director DMP, Col Rakesh Singh, DSG Specialized Zone, Shri Neeraj Gurjar, Director G&RB, Shri Pardeep Singh, Deputy Director, SGO and other officers from SGO and G& RB were present.
After Inauguration, the Surveyor General of India has been briefed about technical work carried out in the NMCG Production Centre by Director G & R B.
On this occasion the SGI has also motivated all officers and staffs presents in the event for hard work with full devotion and to complete the projects in time. The SGI also assured to provide all kind of supports to complete the NMCG as well other projects assigned to Geodetic & Research Branch.
